The other day I was watching that Extreme Couponing Show and one lady on there was purchasing something on B1G1 free and she was also using another coupon with it (not a store one, from what I could tell, but just an additional $ off that item).
I did not think you could use another $ off coupon in conjunction with a B1G1 free coupon, unless perhaps it was a store coupon, or if it was the store’s B1G1 deal. Is that something you have ever done?
I have done this and it’s a YMMV whether your store is ok with it. Obviously we know the coupon redemption ratio is 1:1 meaning you can use one coupon for one product. However, in the case of a B1G1 coupon you are actually acquiring two products which means that two separate coupons may be used. Since the B1G1 coupon is just one coupon, many stores allow the use of another coupon as well (like a $1/1 or similar type) because you are getting two separate products.
Many people also get confused on using a B1G1 coupon with a B1G1 sale (links to a post I wrote on that topic). That is allowed by many stores also. In some cases you can use a $ off coupon too (as explained above). This becomes a true money-maker!
