We had Subway on Tuesday night. No real surprise there. We love it and eat from there often. The kids now even request Subway over the other fast food places. Score one for them wanting healthy stuff!! Well, sometimes we get cookies too. ya know. all in moderation :)
Subway contacted me and asked that I share about an auction they are supporting to benefit the Little League Urban Initiative. They have partnered with Little League Baseball and Softball for the Baseball DeSIGNS Tour. This is the second year, which is now an annual event, where they feature baseballs designed by Little Leaguers – more than 30. The balls are then signed by celebrities and athletes and auctioned off. All proceeds go to the League Urban Initiative!
Subway has a few of the baseballs shown on the Subway Facebook Page. Check out the Ball DeSIGNS tab to see the list. I’m not a baseball person, I literally only know a handful of players, but I did recognize Orel Hershisher and Joe Torre. My dad loved baseball so those are the names I would always hear during the days I’d spend time with him and watch a game or two.
In total, there are 31 baseballs going to auction. If you are interested in placing a bid for yourself, the auction starts August 20 on eBay. All auctions will end on August 29. You can find more information about the auction, baseballs and more on the Subway DeSIGNS Tour page.

mmm, i think the last one I attended(aside from hs games) was a KC Royals game when I was 12.
we do have tickets to see our minor league team(the springfield cardinals) in a little over a week
we were just at a ball game monday night but it was not MLB, it was for the Lake County Fielders, which is coowned by Kevin Costner!! (yum) its been a couple years since we went to a MLB game and it was the brwers vs cubs at miller park. we LOVE baseball and would go all the time if $$ weren’t an object.

My wife and I take our two girls (ages 11 and 13) to Victory Field in Indianapolis, IN on a regular basis. The Indians are the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league team. We just attended a game this past Sunday and are going to two games this weekend. It’s a great park, easy to get to, easy to park, and very family friendly!

The only baseball game I ever attended was a Reds game when I was in college…and that’s been 10 years ago. It was a good time.
We used to attend Royals games pretty regularly when my oldest was little. Then the prices went sky high and we had another child. I don’t think child number 2 who is now 7 has been to a game since she was 3, maybe? I know we took her to a T-bones game, which is a minor league team about four years ago.
We have season tickets to Dayton Dragon’s. They are a lot more family friendly and a lot cheaper than going to Cincy for the Reds.

We went to minor league games fairly often when we lived next to a town with a team. But we moved to Colorado last year, and now we’re just waiting until our youngest is a little older so we can go to a Rockies game!

I’m attending the Red Sox/Toronto game at Fenway on Saturday. Before that though, I went to the Norfolk Tides game. I love minor league baseball – only 438 in attendance. Even the Tides mascot came over and sat with us – what fun!

The last game we attended was a Mariner’s game. My niece got to throw out the first pitch because it was a special Swedish Hospital night. She had major heart surgery when she was a baby. It was such a special night for our family!

If my memory serves me correctly, I went to my last game, a Cincinnati Reds game, about 20 years ago!!!
The last game we went to was Seattle and Yankees back in 2006 when relatives were out here from Seattle. Even my husband likes the comfort of watching the games on TV now.
I can’t remember the last time I went to a baseball game but we are actually going tonight and taking our 5 year old son to his first Phillies game…he is so excited and so are we.
Last game we saw was Washington Nationals in DC — they lost… and it rained by I got all my jumping and screaming out of my system while hubby tasted everything they had at the concession stands (smile).

The ball game I attended was in July 2009. My beloved Texas Rangers were playing the Boston Red Sox at the Ballpark in Arlington. My sister, whose husband is from the cranberry capital of Massachusetts, was visiting us with her six kids. All the way to the ballpark, they were talking smack about the Rangers. That smack was silenced by the end of the game when my beloved Rangers bested the – ahem – ‘mighty’ Red Sox….LOL! It was a quiet drive home. :-)

Our last Red’s game was close to the start of the season. It was a friday and we had the Kroger bleacher seats, which are actually really good seats. You could really see the players! They were playing the Cardinals, lots of rowdy fans!!!!

Last year at the new Yankee stadium, we had gone the year before for the last season at the old stadium.
I won box seats from the county and we had an air conditioned box and watched the Reds play.

We went on 8/15/10 my husband and his dad and I took Our baby boy that is 8 1/2 months old to see his first Astros game…also our second time to mm park… my baby boy did so well very proud of him! Hes a really busy lil guy but he likes watching baseball!!!! yeaaa he made a friend with the lil boy his age that sat behind us and put lots of smiles on everyone face! He even took a nap never thought hed do that will all the noise. He was a little scared of junction jack but had a pic made and didnt cry! It was a VERY wonderful day! What great memories with Family!
