Free + Cheap Family Fun Activities

One thing I am always on the look for is fun family activities that are FREE! It is such a pleasure to enjoy time together and know that there is no high price tags attatched! There really are tons of options and I wanted to share with you just a few:

Museums

On Saturday, September 25, the Smithsonian Museum will be hosting Museum Day! There will be tons of museums throughout the country that will be participating and offering FREE admission for you and one guest! The charge for children will vary by age, sometimes FREE!

Find out more details and your nearest participating museum. Make sure to print your ticket for this family fun day!

Over 600 museums are offering free admission to military families between Memorial Day and Labor Day! For full details and participating museums check out Blue Star Museums!

National Parks

Over 100 National parks will be offering free admission during these dates of 2010:August 14-15, September 25 (Public Lands Day), and November 11 (Veterans Day). Make sure to check out the U.S National Park Service website for the full details!

Retail Stores

The Apple Store is hosting several FREE youth workshops and camps. Sign up or find out more information!

The Pottery Barn for Kids has lots of fun and free events to offer: Storytime, a book club and decorating classes. The Pottery Barn offers free decorating classes and workshops too!

Williams and Sonoma offers several free workshops and demonstrations, as well as tasty samples! You can check out these on their July Workshop calender and find your nearest location!

Saturday, July 31, the Family Christian Store is having a FREE showing of Sweetpea Beauty: A Girl After God’s Own Heart. The showings will be at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Make sure to call ahead to make sure your nearest store is participating.
