My ConAgra Foods Purchase = Meals for Families

ConAgra Foods Purchase

I mentioned in my initial post that ConAgra Foods is donating $1 for each purchase to help end child hunger. Again, that $1 covers 7 meals for hungry little kiddos.

I encourage you do one of the many things to get involved to help this cause because it is a worthy cause. As I mentioned, I am holding a Coupon Workshop this Sunday (you can still register right here). But, if doing a garage sale or holding a public workshop isn’t your thang, you can just go shopping – what you already do, I’m sure – and help it in that way.

From the items I purchased above (you can’t see it all), I shopped and thanks to my spending (and saving), ConAgra will now donate several meals to help the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. It only took me about an hour with a toddler shopping with me too! I did get other things, I just didn’t photograph them :)

AND, wanna know how much I paid for all of that? With sales and great coupons (I had a few for FREE products I received in February), I spent a total of $14.98 out of pocket. BUT, there is a ConAgra Foods Rebate that I am sending in for to get a coupon booklet with $25 in coupons (with the purchase of $10 in products). By my calculations, that’s a net gain of $10, right??

Helping others does not have to be stressful on your budget. As you can see, it actually helped me more to make this purchase. Knowing that my purchase is going to a great cause will make those Chef Boyardee stained faces on my kiddos that much cuter!

Oh, and I still need to find time to share about my trip to Wisteria Lane last week. Stay tuned, there were a few celebs I met. I also have a great giveaway up for grabs too.

What are you doing to end Child Hunger?

Did they extend the date on the rebate? The form says it must be postmarked by 3/28/10.

Amy, this is a new rebate that doesn’t expire until 5/30!

Is there a new form to go along with the new rebate, or can the old form be used with the 3/28/10 date on it?
