Last month, Kroger invited several local bloggers to learn more about the new Kroger Gas Rewards and their partnership with Shell Gas. Attending these events are always fun since you get to see bloggy friends that you don’t always see everyday. We also got to see first hand how the discount would happen at the pump since Kroger loaded our Kroger Cards with points to receive a $1 discount per gallon.

Just last week, Kroger invited us back again to a VIBE (very important Blogger event). It was, again, a blast because I got to see my blog buds. But, it was really informative to see the newest store (in Harrison) before it even opened. And, I learned that this…

I also learned that I absolutely love sushi since we had several bites to eat, which included sushi. I will be buying sushi from Kroger in the future (when I can’t get my Korean gim-bop, that is).

I usually shop on Friday mornings. Sometimes I try to do my CVS or WAGS on Tuesday afternoons because our stores are bad to run out of the sale items at the beginning of the week and they don’t get them in for a few weeks.

According to my “schedule,” I shop on Saturday mornings… However, I am always having to rearrange things b/c of the schedules of everyone else in the house. I am starting to like Wednesday evenings, and it seems to be a night that not much else comes up.
I wish I could say I have a set day to shop. It seems like I go to the store a least every other day, if not sometimes daily stops. Talk about needing a schedule!

I don’t have a “shopping day” although I do try to go to Kroger’s on Tuesday since that’s Senior Citizen Day and I get an extra 5% off. I tend to shop only when I need several items.
What area are you in that Krogers offers a senior discount?
All Kroger stores should have a Senior discount day. The store that I work at in GA every Wednesday Seniors get 5% off. Next time you go shopping just go to customer service and ask them what the discount day is for your area.
Hope you get your discount because it’s amazing how much you save by getting 5% off.

I’m with you – my shopping day has varied a lot recently (it’s usually when we’re running out of milk–my 3 boys can go through 6-7 gal. a week). My preferred day to shop is Tuesday during the day.

Mondays. It usually works pretty well. Not too many people (except this week when I ran into a fieldtrip – that took up an entire aisle!!) and the shelves are pretty well stocked.

I try to shop in the early morning after my teenagers go to school around 7 am. The day depends on when it looks as if we are going to run out of milk or another staple food.
I shop on Monday late night or Tuesday, so that the overage from the ending sale the previous week is going to be marked down! Since most folks don’t shop on a Monday, if I go Monday late night (after midnight), I still get the great choices on the markdowns, BUT I don’t have to wade through the crowds to get them!! Kroger ROCKS!!

I like to shop on Wednesday morning with my sister!
I was shopping on Tuesday after the kids went to bed, but I just had a baby so it is going to be out of whack for a while!
I really do not have a set day…sometimes weekdays while the kids are in school, and sometimes the weekends. The weekends are fun, because my husband likes to tag along to be part of the ‘saving’ spree:) It’s like a game for us, to see how much we can save & stock up on the things we need & want! Thanks for helping me become a better saver!!! I don’t feel so bad about the splurge we’re making for vacation this year:)
I usually shop on Saturday or Sunday. Friday night if I’m really excited about a deal.
We usually go on Friday evenings. Not an ideal time, but that way I don’t have to take my 3 (3 years and under) by myself.

I try to shop early Monday morning before work, Monday after work, or early Tuesday morning before work.

I waddle my pregnant self in on Monday mornings now (newly unemployed) as soon as I take my daughter to school and Friday afternoons after picking her up (she helps in the couponing and matching and has a great time doing it). Also a subscriber!
