Jewelry…jewelry could make it better! This past weekend, I hosted a jewelry party. Several good friends came over to oogle over jewelry and enjoy some yummy snacks!

I love parties like this because it means there are typically appetizers. Truth be told, I could just eat appetizers and no dinner. I guess that’s why they have Tapas restaurants!

For the party, I made several dips. My best friend and I were discussing the line-up and she suggested I had one too many dips. What can I say, I’m a dip kinda gal ;) I did add a few other finger foods to make it more balanced (you’re welcome, Sue).

I made my yummy Buffalo Chicken Dip, a Taco Dip, Veggies and Dip (you see, lots of dips). I also made cocktail weiners in a tomato-based sauce, a Veggie Pizza ^[1], brownies and fruit dipped in chocolate. I was going to make a Fruit Pizza, but we thought that may be one too many pizzas too. Aren’t you glad you have friends to discuss these types of things with??!!

As any party, we hung out, ate and looked at some beautiful jewelry. Since Jewelry plus messy dip hands doesn’t go together, I ensured there were plenty of paper towels around to clean up! Then, with clean hands, we tried on the jewels. It was a fun night. How can you not have a good time with friends, food and jewelry, right??!!

Oh, and that chocolate dipped fruit (above) may not look all picturesque, but it tasted delicious. That is the hardest stuff to dip. I was a MESS! When I was finished, I *trashed* the rejects in my belly!

The upside to getting chocolate all over your hands doing something like that is using fewer paper towels to clean up! I was full before the party started! Don’t worry though, I did actually wipe my hands too – that would just be gross not to! :)

My BFF is hosting a similar party in a few weeks. And, given our dip dilemma I need to find some other great appetizers to make that aren’t dips but are fast and easy. Do you have some faves to share?
