I have mentioned the Target Price Matching Policy before. It’s so nice that Target is doing this now! I have a deal on Candy for you this week if you want to work the price matching:

While you’re there, always get the price match on Chex Mix this week too:

I’m curious, has anyone really done price matching yet? What is your experience at Target?

Also, Jennifer commented about the Glade Gift Card Deal still going on. Purchase 5 Glade Holiday Tins and get a $5 Gift Card. These are priced at $2.50 each and have $1.50 coupons inside the package too. Sounds like a great one to roll with those coupons!

Check out the highlights for this week at Target.

Hi we’ve been discussing this issue on antoher site, but I tried to do the price match at Target today for the Chex Mix, but the lady said they couldn’t do it because it was advertised as 2 for $3 and they only price match if the item has an actual price, i.e. Chex Mix for $1.50. I still got them for .25 a piece, but there have been others that ran into this problem.

Okay, so now I am asking if Cincinnati got the Target $1/3 candy Q you mentioned. I have looked and can’t find it either.

Jenny, I couldn’t find it in my inserts earlier which is why I was thinking it was regional :( That stinks!!

I have price matched at Target before without any problems. (Snow White DVD with the $10 coupon). I plan to try this Chex deal tomorrow. Thanks for all you do. I love your blog.

I did the Chex Mix price match at my Target in Florence, Ky this afternoon. Honestly it was kind of a pain and they never really figured out how to make the price adjustment correctly. I took the Chex Mix to the checkout and asked the checker if I should go to Customer Service because I had a price match. She said that I needed to checkout and THEN go to Customer Service and they would give me the difference. So that’s what I did. Long story short, Customer Service was unsure how to handle the price adjustment. After a long 15 minutes I finally got my cash refund. There were several issues related to the fact that they first had to return my purchase in order to make the adjustment. The fact that there were manufacturer coupons stacked with Target coupons increased the confusion. They were very cordial and kept pushing until they figured it out. Bottom line, and my personal suggestion, is that you should by pass the checkout and go straight to Customer Service. Then they can make the price adjustment and check you out at the same time. Hope this helps!

Great idea to price match the candy…cheaper than Toys R Us….too bad I already used all my coupons at Toys R US…oh well 1.24 a bag isn’t too bad at all!

I had no problem with the Chex mix at Target. I went to the Service Desk on my way into the store to ask about it first. I was told to get how ever many bags I wanted (and had coupons for) and come back to the Service Desk to be rung up. I got 6 bags every simply!

I really wanted to get the Glade Candles but didn’t find any with the $1.50 coupons. Any tips on where to look for them?

Becky, that’s good to hear! I don’t know which packages have those coupons. I purchased one last week at Walmart and got a coupon in mine. There was no indication on the outside of the package so it’s hit/miss maybe.

I tried the price matching at Target a few weeks back. What an experience!! Bottom line, the cashier did not know how to do it (after trying for quite a while). I ended up with 2 coupons for $3.00 off a purchase. Don’t think I would try this again unless the sale was a really big savings. Thanks for all the info you give to help save money and get great deals.

I attempted the price match at Target today and was NOT impressed with the hassle of having to be rung up and then go to Guest Services to be refunded. Also, has anyone else had issues with them refusing to price match (ie: kellogg’s on sale at Wags for $1.75 with a limit of 3) . Sure glad I don’t shop Target very often :-( I don’t feel their Price Matching Policy is very Guest friendly at all.
