The Betty Crocker potatoes also had Cellfire Qs for October, if you hadn’t used them yet!
I also found at my store that Dole Mandarin oranges were part of the deal ($0.99), and there was that $.50 off Dole coupon from somewhere where you had to play some instant win game, and if you didn’t win, you at least could print the coupon. Anyway, they were also printing out $.50 catalinas if you bought three. If you buy ten participating items, it makes it better than free if you had access to more than computer to print 3 of the coupons. Also, Yoplus yogurt was on sale for 1.99 and part of the deal. I had my free yoplus coupon from the make the switch Activia deal. But there were also lots of printables and ecoupons which made this a great deal. I also scored big with Pace Salsa. It was part of the deal for 3.85, and I had been saving my 4.00 off pace coupon from winning their game awhile back. Another bonus….my store is totally doing a remodel and they had isles ….. I mean ISLES full of manager special markdowns. There were Kotex, Baby Rays, Dannon yogurt, Johnson and johnson products all marked way down. They were identical products to the ones in the ad, and some were even right above the specially marked signs right on the regular shelf. I decided to chance it and see if they still generated the $5 off. There were only 2 that didn’t seem to work, but when I asked the manager, she said, “oh yeah, the computer doesn’t always recognize it but if it the same product, it should still count.” Then she told the cashier to manually go ahead and take the $5 off for me! Score! I did get home and realized, “Wait. I shouldn’t have paid as much as I did according to my calculations.” When I checked my receipt, I noticed that NONE of my free coupons (I had 4 of them) were taken off! I think what happened was that they have to punch in the price and the cashier didn’t notice the prompt, to do so and just kept scanning my coupons and therefore it didn’t come off. That was over $7 I got jipped! I called right away and they said they’d go get out those coupons from that drawer and I can bring in my receipt to prove they weren’t taken, and I’d get my money back. Whew! Just goes to show….watch them scan each one carefully and make sure they get them all right!
Hi Andrea,
There is a coupon in today’s (11/1) newspaper for $1 off any 2 Keebler Crackers. Towne House and Club crackers are pictured on the coupon but it reads “any 2 Keebler crackers.” Keebler Zesta Crackers are included in Kroger’s Mega Deal. They’re priced at $1.49 b/f the Mega Sale Discount. So after the Mega Sale + coupon they’re just $.49 a box. That;s a stock up price for my Peanut Butter and Crackers loving hubby!!
You are a RAWK STAR coupon matcher-upper!!!
Can’t wait for all the savings this week!!!
E
You have the Colgate kids toothpaste coupon listed – my store does not show that toothpaste as on sale or as part of the mega sale – does anyone elses?
thanks for all the help! I am very new to this and am learning alot from you guys!
I have a question. On the Mega 10 deals do you need 10 coupons to get that price on each item? For example: on the Ricola cough drops $1 each, $.50 after coupons, free if you buy 10. Do you have to have 10 B1G1 coupons to get them all free? If you only have one or two coupons how does it work?
Thanks!
Rachel….
No you dont have to buy 10 of the same item, such as 10 cough drops, but you do have to buy 10 of the mega event items in order to get the $5.00 off when you check out. That $5 or .50 off each item is what makes them free in the end! Not sure how well i explained that but i tried.
Do you know how long the Catalina for the Dole Mandarin Oranges lasts? I have been buying 12 cans every time I go but I am worried about when it ends since a lot of them ended on November 1st. How do you find out the dates? Thanks so much for all your help.
If anyone does Rebates…Tombstone has one going on for up to a $15 credit on either your home heating , cable, utility, mobile phone or satelite movie. For details go to:
http://www.tombstone.com/payyourbills
Hope it was ok to post this. Have a great week all!
I think the cat ended for the Krusteaz. I bought 2 today and didin’t get the coupon. :( Oh well, it is still a good deal)
I totally had 30 participating items, but they only took off $10 instead of $15. I’m marching my butt back to the store tomorrow for my $5. I’m kind of irked. Overall, I scored 55% savings, which is my highest savings at Kroger to date. I’m getting the hang of this coupon thing now!
Just something I have found works for me with mega sales I get 1 or 2 extra “mega items”, but don’t have them ring them up until after asking how many $5. I got off, but before paying. That way, if I am 1 or 2 items off, I can have them add this on, ensuring my discount – $5. is a lot if you are off by 1or 2!! For newer Kroger folks, on the receipt, they put plus signs next to the items in the mega sale, so it is easier to figure out what was included and how many you got!!
Thanks for all your hints!!
Andrea, Did we get the $1. off Nonni cookies cpn in the Cinti area? I HOPE so, but didn’t see it. Thanks – Have fun in the cupcake car, really cool opportunity!!
Andrea..One question…I didn’t see that Krustez (I think that’s what it is) in my sales ad…Is it not advertised? I’m talking about the pancake mix…I did KILLER on this last week and am so excited about it again…Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Jennifer, it is included (someone commented last week, I think). Go YOU for doing great!!
I just got back from my weekly trip to Kroger and at the bottom of my receipt it tells you about their up coming Holiday Rewards. It does say just for my home, so not sure if everyone gets one. If I spend $200+ from 11/15-12/12 I will earn one 10% off my total order from 12/27/09-1/9/10. Purchase excludes Rx, Fuel, Alcohol, tobacoo, gift cards and office services. I’m also not sure if it’s before coupons. The points I get for fuel are before coupons so I am hoping this is too
Kim, thanks! Too bad gift cards aren’t included :( They usually are so I’m surprised.
My Kroger’s would not accept the Curly’s BBQ printable coupon. Oh well it was still B1G1!! Thanks for the heads up on how to get these great deals! It saves me a lot of time (and $)!!
Andrea – On the Smithfield Bacon, it looks like your calculations include using 2 coupons. My store would only take 1 coupon because the other one was free. Do you know what the official policy is on B1G1 items?
Terri, Kroger allows two coupons on a B1G1 FREE sale. I have the info from Kroger Corporate on that one too.
I read the bottom of my receipt again and there is no comma between tobacco and gift cards. Does Kroger really sell tobacco gift cards? I am assuming that there should be a comma.
Kim, ahhh…ok. Um, I wonder if they sell tobacco gift cards. That is weird, I’ve never seen them (but then again I’ve never looked).
I am wondering about the Dole Oranges cat. On my cat. that printed, it did not state “Buy a certain amt. and get $” like they usually do. I also recieved a cat. for buying 4 pouches of Idahoan Potatoes that was the same way. It just said Thanks for buying the product.
Are these random catalinas? And if not, do you have information on the Dole Manderin Oranges?
