Nestle Family | Controversy and Clarification
Posted By Savings Lifestyle: Andrea On September 30, 2009 @ 5:12 pm In Blogging | 15 Comments
Let me just say that I’m having a blast at Nestle. I am excited to attend events like this. It’s an opportunity to learn more about a company and share my thoughts on how I would like them to be a better consumer, in my eyes. There is work getting kiddos’ scheduled while hubs works, schedules to make with 3 kiddos and the fact that my amazing husband is doing it all by himself (I do love that man!).
If you are in social media whatsoever, then you have heard about the many reports regarding Nestle. I won’t get into the details on here. But, one allegation that I was happy to get feedback from the US CEO, Brad Alford, was regarding Nestle and their compliance with the WHO regulations. You can see Brad’s response in the below video (turn up the volume since it’s not the best quality with my iPhone).
I know people are passionate about topics, ensuring health and well-being of children in the US EVERYWHERE is something I am passionate about as well! But, I’m here to say that there may be more effective ways to communicate with corporations – blasting bloggers who choose to attend an event to bring more awareness to other issues is NOT the right way to do it. This, of course, is merely my opinion.
Negativity only breeds more negativity. I won’t be a part of it. I will choose to use my influence FOR GOOD!!! How will you use yours? Comment away, I will respond when I get a chance!
And, to a lighter note. The Nestle Bunny was cuddling with me last night – isn’t he cute!!
