Thank you for your help with my Meijer question. I asked at the customer service desk about the six coupon limit per item, and they said that is there policy. I will now go thru the u-scan. I live in Indiana and only getting to use six coupons is definitely not worth the drive!

Amy, I bet this is similar to the backpack deal, they are only deducting the face value and not a double value. That stinks!

Talking out loud now – I wonder if you would scan those three candy bars, then scan your coupons, THAN go back and scan the other three candy bars (that should show as FREE) and see if that would process it right?? I might make it to Meijer tonight and try that myself just to see if it works.

I just wanted to help clarify the REESEs issue…. I had this poor kid helping me at the UScan try to figure it out. We actually scanned the Reeses on a completely separate order. If you rang them up with no qs they would ring up B3G3….however, when you add the 3 qs (2 of which are doubled- 2 of same item rule) in the mix – the “computer” takes .55 off the Free ones and the balance of the actual price of the Reeses which is .19 off something else… (we still didn’t figure it out) The total bill was 1.84 – should have been .19… The clerk had to adjust the “computer” to the tune of 1.65….

So I guess what I am saying is check your receipts! You might have been overcharged 1.65 and when you buy more than 6 Reeses that’s alot of change! :D

Linda, there is not a formal policy on how many they will take. I have never been imposed a limit at my store. I think it’s a YMMV for each store to do what they want. BUT, I will say that if they do have that limit, you could always ring up through u-scan first and finish your order out with the cashier. Honestly, the whole thought of imposing a limit is ridiculous – it is truly an inconvenience to the customer.

You’re correct- the store sale of B3G3 has absolutely no influence on using BOGO coupons, so…
All six would be free if you used 3 BOGO coupons. :)

How many coupons for the same product can you use at Meijer? I know they only double two of them, but is there a limit? The last time I was there (Western Hills), the cashier would only take six coupons for the same item. Is that there policy?

I thought I’d let you know that the Meijer in Kettering has the Special K Crackers 3/5.00. There is a mealbox coupon for $1.00/2 and there were several printables for $1.00/1. Using MB coupon and 2-$1.00 coupons, you can get 2 boxes for .33, total. I’ve never tried them, but I will be picking some up this week to try.

Meijer in Marion where I bought the Reese’s candy bars does not double above $.50. When I checked my receipt, it had refunded only 19 cents for each “free” candy bar. I had to go to the service desk to get the rest of my money for the free bars. I guess the computer expected me to pay full price for three bars and use the coupon on the free ones so they only had to refund 19 per bar. Also the Chinet coupon for $2 on 1 is only on lunch plates which are not on sale. Happy shopping.

someone check my math for this reese’s bogo scenario:

when you buy three, the store gives you three. if you use the bogo coupon, the coupon give you one for each one you buy. so if you buy three, get three from the store, and get three from the coupon (using three coupons), you get nine (pay for three, get six free).

I saw in the store today that Eggo’s are B2G1F – they are 1.50 a box. You would get 3 for $3.00. There are $1/2 coupons out there (not sure where they came from). If you bought 12 boxes and used 6 Qs, then they would be $0.50/box. PLUS, they are a Eggo’s item – and you would get the $10.00 off of a backpack if you buy $10.00 in Eggo’s products.

The Reese’s Cups (and many other candy bars) are on sale B3G3. If you use 3, 55cent off coupons which will “double” (i.e. just up to cost of candy bar–74 cents), you would get all 6 free.

RE Capri Sun–the MB qs are for Capri Sun 100% Juice, which is different than regular Capri Sun. These 10 packs are $2.65. Also, I purchased 4 of these and no catalina printed…..so I suspect that catalina deal might be for regular Capri Sun?

Another good deal: Domino Sugar is $2.50/5 lb bag. There is a 35 cent off Q at the RedPlum site….making them $1.80/5lb or $3.60/10lb…….much cheaper than the Meijer 10lb bag.

Before coupons $39.78—->After coupons $3.90 oop. Additionally, the mgr hand printed a $3 off Q to be used at next visit as a courtesy for the Capri Sun catalina failure above :)
