So, since this is my blog, I like to share snippets of my life – seems logical, right? I wanted to share about my experience last weekend while attending Women of Faith ^[1].

First, if you’ve never heard of Women of Faith ^[1], check it out! This was my first year going and I was blown away at the speakers and ministry we received. Honestly, I saw the line-up and didn’t recognize many of the speakers. But, those were the very evangelists I loved the most: Patsy Clairmont ^[2], Marilyn Meberg ^[3], Sheila Walsh ^[4] to name a few.

And, of course as an AWESOME benefit to this conference, you get to hear some amazing, talented Christian artists. Lucky for us, Sandi Patty ^[5], Steven Curtis Chapman ^[6] and Mandisa ^[7] were on this tour stop. Woo Hoo!

Sandi Patty has the most amazing voice. Honestly, I’m not old enough to remember her (yes, I’m that young) but I heard about her challenges. What a gift and testimony she has to share! And, if you know Steven Curtis Chapman’s story, hearing the songs, Cinderella and Yours just took on a different meaning with the year he has had. So terribly sad, but he is still praising the Lord – AMAZING!

And, Mandisa – what can I say! You have probably heard her from American Idol fame, but her testimony is what got me. Yeah, I mean, girl can sang, but the spirit that she has just oozed out of every single pore, even with our nose bleeds seats. Just beautiful, and she’s lost 80 pounds – HELLO! I only wish I had time to ask her some tips. We were kinda rushed with getting that picture above (aren’t my BFF’s beauties too).

I think conferences like this are great to go rejuvenate and be focused on God. Even in an arena full of 16,000 people – His spirit is big enough to be present and touch each one of us. God is pretty amazing, huh? I learned so much that I plan on applying in my faith walk and my daily relationships – so much more than I can begin to share here. And, I loved doing this with my girlfriends – it was the best part even if we did miss our husbands and kiddos ;)
