Snack Time: Stockpile Piling Up!

We’re blessed with a great stockpile! I’ve mentioned here that during the crazy wind storm, the stockpile was a blessing so we were able to share with friends without worrying.

Last year during December, I took a break from the stockpile shopping in order to save that money to focus on Christmas (shopping and giving). I plan to do the same this year too, with one exception: if I find items for my donation stockpile, I will still purchase those. Since those items aren’t for our family’s needs but for another family, getting those at a low-price is what I feel I should be doing.

So, if you are blessed with a stockpile this season, consider taking a break on the stocking up in order to fill your stockings or someone else’s!

And, it’s a great opportunity to give the money you save to a charity or organization that has been featured in The One Dollar Give. I’m sharing my charity this Friday so stay tuned.

You are thinking exactly what I am doing! We ate through a lot of ours during the moving, but I now have a huge box for donations. Thank you for being an inspiration for the rest of us and teaching us how to save some $$!
