Carolyn, yes. It really is that easy. They will come off of your receipt right underneath the product whereas a manufacturer coupon shows up at the bottom of your receipt.

So all you have to do is load the ecoupons to your Kroger card and when they scan the card, the coupons come off?

I am feeling like a fish out of water! I thought I was being so careful with our money, and now I am feeling a little clueless! I have 5 kids (17 to 4) a military hubby... and we eat plenty! I have tried to stay away from "boxed" meals as much as possible... Mac n cheese will be a big deal here for some time! I will be checking in to learn as I go! Would love to get some lunch box fillers from Little Debbie!!!

Thank you so much for posting this! I had looked at Cellfire a few weeks ago but gave up on it when I saw it talking about text messaging (which I don't do and don't want to start!). I appreciate your explaining how to do it without texting.

On the Cellfire usage, I have contacted Cellfire over a month ago to respond for clarification and no one has given me a response. Because, while I'm not looking for a loop hole, I think that the wording is a little "grey" in my opinion. Cellfire obviously knows that it works and when there are other ecoupons as competition, I would think they would do the same.

If I hear something back from then, I'll update here.

Amy - unfortunately I can no longer see that function since I've already added my Kroger card number (it must go away when you register your card), and that may be the case with you too since it sounds like you've loaded 9 coupons to your card.

And, since there aren't many coupons to load, it will only allow you to load the grocery coupons that are available. You can, however, load other coupons (like for Hollywood video and others).

HTH!

I'm signed up and registered and even used Cellfire tonight at Dillons (thanks so much, I don't have texting either!) but... I can only load 9 coupons. The thing says I should load up to 41 more, but I can't find any more.

On your "step 2" I don't see "sign up for grocery updates" anywhere. I see share cellfire in blue, but not the other. Any ideas? Thanks!

I just arrived home from Smith's and read this and then checked my receipt. I bought two packs of cottonelle tp and on my receipt it shows that I used a MC from Cellfire, from Shortcuts, and two paper coupons. So they all worked together for me. 2 free packs of toilet paper. I was REALLY happy about that after my Albertson's trip from hell (with my kids and my first time doing all this major coupon stuff and them being out of everything on the list). I love Smith's.

Here is what happens when a Cellfire coupon rings up.....let's say the item is cottonelle. The moment the cashier scans that cottonelle the cellfire coupon comes off right then. By the time she gets to your manufacturer coupons the cellfire has already been taken off.

Obviously they intended it not to work but it does.

I never had a clue it wasn't supposed to take off the loadable and manufacturer. If it didn't I wouldn't even mess with cellfire

~Amber~

Andrea, under the Grocery section at Cellfire, here's what they say about combining coupons. This is what I was referring to in my previous comment. Thanks!

Q. Can I combine other coupons with Cellfire coupons?
A. Cellfire coupons are not valid with other coupons or for grocery store double manufacturer coupon programs. If you present a paper coupon along with a Cellfire coupon, your Cellfire coupon will not be reflected in your savings. Your Cellfire coupon will be saved for a future transaction.

Shortcuts was great about a coupon not working-- they gave me a credit on my card 5min after I filed the complaint... They are great!!!

I think there's a bar cheese sale this week (need to re-check the ad) and there's a bar cheese q on cellfire. I'll try it out when I go to the store this week. Mmmm, cheese, crackers and some wine with my hubby over a good game of scrabble. :)

Ok, I did it and I live to tell the story. ;p

The only difference I encountered was after step #3, it prompted me to enter my zip, then sent me an e-mail confirmation. After that it put me to a page where there were options for a bunch of stores. I clicked on Kroger and saw all the q's, so I continued with step #5.

When I clicked on the first q and said "save to card" it told me it couldn't save it to my card, then had me sign in. Once I signed in and tried to load the q again it then prompted me for my card info. I was actually able to enter my phone # which is convenient cuz I didn't have to run and get my purse.
Anyway, I was able to load q's after that. Very cool! I hope it works at checkout.
I also chose the option to be e-mail alerted when new q's are on the site. we'll see if I get bombarded with e-mails or not.

So, if you sign up you will load your q's online? I guess I had this weird image of having to load q's onto my cell phone and somehow use my cell phone to scan the q's off at checkout. LOL I've never signed up because I didn't want to incure cell phone charges.

Thanks for breaking this down, Andrea. Very helpful as always! :)

Carrie - I'll let you know when I go and try.

I know that several locals have tried though and they have worked. Erin @ $5 Dinners has been using these a lot and she's north of us.

Sometimes I've had issues with the Shortcuts q's coming off too. And, I'm like you - I only buy them b/c of the ecoupon making it FREE (why ever would we pay for toothpaste :-)

Good luck if you live in the Cincy area.

I have tried to use this service last month and this month.

My coupons load, I buy products and they never come off.

This has happened 5 times now, and everytime the process to try and get manual credit takes forever ( up to now, I stil have not gotten credit...because they need faxes of all this different parperwork ).

I finally called Kroger, and the their Marketing department called me back. They originally told me that it is only for the Atlanta area.

I called them back and told them that was not what their site and Cellfire said.

So, she apologized and said she wasn't sure why it isn't working....and sent me a $5 credit for the trouble.

But, up to now, still not working for me.

If anyone in the Cincy area gets it to work...can you let me know?

moneysavingmethods at yahoo dot com

Thanks...I would love to use...but am really frustrated...as sometimes I only bought products becuse of their e coupon.

I have been doing shortcuts and cellfire for a couple of months. 3X now I have used 1 shortcuts cottonelle and 1 cellfire cottonelle as well as 2 25cent off cottonelle manufacturers coupons at Kroger at the same time to get 2 free 4pks of toilet paper. Also, everytime I have used cellfire coupons I always use them in conjunction with manufacturer coupons.

~Amber~

I'm so glad you broke it down for me... I tried signing up a month ago but I don't have text either and it threw me off when it said I would have a code sent to me. I'm off to sign up for real this time. Thank you!

Lana,

Exciting stuff for you :-)

Ecoupons do not double but the good part is that you can use them with a paper coupon that does double for a little extra savings!

I am new to all this ecoupon stuff. I have signed up at 3 different sites. Sounds awesome! I have a questions, though....Do ecoupons double at Kroger like paper coupons do? For instance, if I have a 50 cent paper coupon that doubles to $1 and a 50 cent ecoupon, does the ecoupon double too, allowing me to get $2 off?

Thanks!

Alex - I'm glad you signed up!

However, I just went through the FAQ's again and didn't see that exclusion of paper coupons anywhere. Can you point me to it?

I did see where it said that a Cellfire coupon can only be used once, maybe that's what you were referring to..??

I just signed up for cellfire today, and while reading the FAQs noticed that it said that you cannot combine paper coupons with the cellfire coupons. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for all of your hard work.

I actually had it take a cellfire and a shortcuts coupon off. I also had a manufacture coupon, so I got paid lots to buy toilet paper. I don't know if it works all the time, but it worked once.
