Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

There is nothing like a good song that makes me really want to burn fat!!! I participate in the weekly meme, Then Sings My Soul Saturday, where participants share some of their favorite songs. The songs are mostly christian songs, but one week, I shared a story and my personal meaning about the song, Survivor – you know, Beyonce…Hey, I’m sure Jesus wants me to be “bootylicious” or at least keep his temple (my body) that way :-) Anyhoo, there was another great song someone posted this week that I purchased on itunes and I’m already lovin’ running to it!! Occupy your Mind – Don’t Think About The Burn!!

I really feel like when I am listening to music or even watching tv (the show has to really keep my attention), my mind is staying focused on something other than the pain! After feeling under the weather last week and not exercising, this week was painful. It’s so funny to know that just one week of exercising under potential can make a full-force week hurt so bad! I needed to have a rock concert in my basement, actually, but my new song worked out well too! I certainly still felt the pain, but the time did go by a lot faster!

Oh, and to report on the result of my lack of fat burnin’ last week. I actually lost 2 pounds this week. Again, another week where I never tracked any food intake at Sparkpeople and I only exercised twice (and they weren’t great workouts at that). So, I don’t know what to do to repeat myself. Except to possibly eat horrible and not work out…Well, I’ve had 10 years of that and look where that got me, so I know that’s not the key! I think maybe the rest was necessary in order for me to burn more – who knows, I’m happy with whatever my efforts give me at this point!
