Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

Well, I would be lying if I didn’t start with saying that I’m a little disappointed in my weight loss this week. I lost 1 pound, which is respectable, but I guess I was thinking it would be more after my butt burnin’ workouts last week. I mean, I know that losing 1-2 pounds a week is healthy and all but I just thought I did better. Oh well, I know what my goals are and the weight loss I had of one pound is within that goal. This reminder leads me to this…

Establish Weight-Loss Goals

One of the reasons I love Sparkpeople (remember, it’s FREE) so much is that when you go through the new-user registration, you establish your weight-loss goals. They give you realistic expectations for weight-loss each week. I wrote about setting SMART goals several months ago and they apply in every aspect of your life! One thing being SMART also means is revising goals as you progress. If your weight loss isn’t on track to lose 20 pounds by next week (which was your original goal when you started), then you have to modify that so it’s a healthy goal. Sparkpeople has really helped me graph my progress and modify my goals as I’ve progressed. You can read all about my original snack on Sparkpeople here.

So, hopefully, you are progressing with your weight-loss goals! Keep working hard and doing your fat burnin’ exercise routines so you can get to your ultimate goal, whatever that might be!

And, please share your success this week – I know there are a couple readers out there who have had an awesome week and I’m sooo excited for ya!

Congrats on you weight loss, I’ve set my current goal to 10 pounds in the last week I’ve lost 2 pounds, so I know how hard it is to get even 1 pound off.
