CVS – Gift Cards for a New/Transferred TX

by Savings Lifestyle: Andrea on February 08, 2008

Did you know CVS will give you money for taking your RX there? You need a coupon, but the current coupon (available on ebay) states you will receive a $25 gift card for any new or transferred prescription. And, you can get as many prescriptions filled as you want, as long as you have a coupon. I typically do my multiple transactions spread across several days since they technically only gift one $25 card to each person a day. I have done this several times and received lots of gift cards to spend on my CVS shopping trips.

You can get coupons on ebay (remember, they sell EVERYTHING), just make sure the ad states it’s an original coupon -not a printable (which they will take too). If you’re paying money for the coupon than you want a real one, not one you can print off yourself. There’s an ad now that is offering 5 original coupons for around $3. Sometimes if you email customer service and request coupons, they will mail you some. I haven’t personally done this, but I have read where others have and had success.

CVS’ policies also states they will take competitor’s coupons. So, if you have a coupon from Target or Walgreens stating they will give you a gift card, ask CVS to honor it. You will be oh so glad you did!
